Lynxly provides tools to moderate your server, log events, welcome members, and more. Enable or disable features per server in the Dashboard.
Moderation
Lynxly can help you enforce rules and keep the server safe.
What it includes
- Warn — Record warnings against users; optional escalation (e.g. mute after X warnings).
- Kick — Remove a user from the server (they can rejoin with a new invite).
- Ban — Ban a user from the server (and optionally delete recent messages).
- Mute — Timeout or role-based mute so a user cannot type or speak.
- Auto-mod — Automatic actions for spam, links, caps, or other rule breaks (when enabled).
Using moderation
- Use commands (e.g.
!warn @user reason or /warn) or the Dashboard, depending on what’s available.
- Only users with the right moderation permissions (or a configured mod role) can use these commands.
- Ensure Lynxly has the required permissions (e.g. Kick Members, Ban Members, Moderate Members).
Logging
Logging sends events to a dedicated channel so you can review what happened.
What can be logged
- Joins and leaves — When members join or leave the server.
- Message edits and deletes — Who edited or deleted a message and what it was.
- Mod actions — Warnings, kicks, bans, mutes (who did it, target, reason).
- Channel and role changes — When channels or roles are created, updated, or deleted (if supported).
- Voice — Who joined or left voice channels (if supported).
Setting up logging
- Enable the Logging module for your server in the Dashboard.
- Set the Log channel in Configuration.
- Give Lynxly View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links in that channel.
Welcome messages
Welcome messages are sent when a new member joins the server.
Options
- Channel welcome — A message (often with embeds or placeholders like
{user}) in a chosen welcome channel.
- DM welcome — A direct message to the new member with rules or info (optional).
Setting up welcome messages
- Enable the Welcome module in the Dashboard.
- Configure the Welcome channel and message in Configuration.
- Optionally enable and edit the DM welcome.
Utility and info
Lynxly may include utility commands such as:
- Help — List commands or get help for a specific command.
- User info — Show a user’s join date, roles, and other info.
- Server info — Show server name, member count, and basic stats.
These are usually available when the Utility or General module is enabled. See the Commands reference for the full list.
Enabling and disabling features
- Open the Dashboard and select your server.
- Go to Modules, Features, or Settings.
- Toggle the features you want on or off.
- Save.
Disabling a feature turns off its commands and behavior for that server. For required permissions, see Permissions. Last modified on February 24, 2026
