You configure Lynxly from the Dashboard. Select your server to access server-specific settings.

Command prefix

The command prefix is the character (or short phrase) you type before a command. For example, with prefix !:
  • !help runs the help command
  • !moderate @user runs the moderate command

Setting the prefix

  1. Open the Dashboard and select your server.
  2. Find Commands or General settings.
  3. Set Prefix to your chosen value (e.g. !, ?, lynx ).
  4. Save. The bot will use the new prefix in that server.
Slash commands (e.g. /help) do not use the prefix; they work the same regardless of this setting.

Modules and features

Lynxly can enable or disable features per server. Typical options include:
ModuleDescription
ModerationWarnings, kicks, bans, and auto-mod actions.
LoggingLog channel for joins, leaves, edits, deletions, and mod actions.
WelcomeWelcome messages and DMs when users join.
UtilityInfo, help, and utility commands.
Turn modules on or off in the Dashboard under your server’s Modules or Features section. Disabling a module turns off its commands and behavior for that server.

Log channel

If Logging is enabled:
  1. In the Dashboard, go to your server → Logging or Channels.
  2. Choose the Log channel (or “Audit log” channel).
  3. Save.
Lynxly will send logging events to that channel. Ensure the bot has View Channel and Send Messages (and Embed Links if it uses embeds) in that channel.

Welcome messages

If Welcome is enabled:
  1. In the Dashboard, go to your server → Welcome.
  2. Set the Welcome channel (where join messages are sent).
  3. Optionally edit the message text or enable a DM welcome.
  4. Save.
See Features → Welcome for more detail.

Language and locale

If the Dashboard offers Language or Locale, you can set the bot’s language for that server. Not all features may support every language yet.

Saving and applying

After changing any setting, click Save or Apply. Changes usually apply immediately; if not, wait a short time or run a test command to confirm. For what each feature does, see Features. For required bot permissions, see Permissions.
